If you do well, you can do good – that’s the premise behind a successful social business. Like any other business, a socially savvy one needs to be built on a clear purpose and detailed business plan. Whether you have an idea or a program that you’d like to kick up a notch, Social Change 101 will provide the framework and tools to help you get there.
Development of the social enterprise sector is a long-term proposition and local partners are critical in building its sustainability. Whilst we bring the learning expertise to the region, we work with the local community and key partners to understand what local change makers require from the Social Change 101 program content and activities.
What is social enterprise?
Social enterprises are businesses that intentionally trade to tackle social problems, improve communities, or benefit the environment. They make money and employ staff; and rather than distribute profit to the owners, profits are reinvested back into the business or the community.
